How I Built My Quiet and Cool PC
My early PC setup was noisy and CPU temperature approached 70°C under 100% load.
- Gigabyte GA-MA74GM-S2H motherboard
- AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+ (dual-core 2.6Ghz)
- Standard CPU fan from manufacturer
- Generic 350W power supply
- Seagate 3.5" SATA 120Gb hard disk
To fix this annoying problem, I did the following...
| 1. Replace the stock fan with an after-market cooler.
